Jamie Ryan Kauffman

Jamie Ryan Kauffman, 36, of New Paris, lost his battle with addiction on Sunday, December 25, 2016. He was born on November 4, 1980, in Everett, a son of Carl J. and Cyndi (Bowers) Kauffman of Bedford. Along with his parents he is survived by a daughter, Alexandra Ray Ritchey of Bedford; a son, Aidden Joseph Kauffman of Bedford; girlfriend, Lindsey Poraczky of Bedford, paternal grandmother, Shirley R. Wentz of Bedford, and many aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by a brother, Carl "Joey" Kauffman, paternal grandfather, Gerald Callihan widow Shirley who survives of Cleveland, Oh, and maternal grandparents, Charles and Catherine Bowers.
Jamie worked in construction. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and served a tour in Iraq. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his children.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 30, 2016, at 11:00 a.m., in the Chapel, at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford, with Rev. Dan Oldham officiating. Burial at Imler Valley Cemetery, with full military rites conducted by the Fort Bedford Honor Guard.
