James Arthur Oberholtzer, 79, formerly of Bedford, died Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at Susquehanna Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Columbia. He was
Born in Manheim, son of the late Paul B. and Anna (Heisey) Oberholtzer.
He is survived by six children, Pat L. Carson of McDermott, Ohio, Frederick D., husband of Phyllis Oberholtzer, of Marietta, Nancy J., wife of Harold Witmer, Jr., of Elizabethtown, Karl D., husband of Janet Oberholtzer, of Ephrata, Kevin D., husband of Faithe Oberholtzer, of Mount Joy, and Rosanna W. of Lancaster; and a sister, Verna, wife of Glenn Schwartz, Lancaster. He was preceded in death by a sister, Janet Oberholtzer.

He was a sales representative for Sperry New Holland and later operated a lawn mowing business. He enjoyed motorcycling and gardening.
