James O. Norman Ii

James O. “Jim” Norman II, 60, of Forrest Drive, Bedford, died, Thursday, April 17, 2014 at UPMC Altoona Hospital after a brief illness. He was born on July 4, 1953, in Johnstown, a son of the late James O. and June Marie (Henry) Norman. He is survived by the following family: a foster son, Chad Christina of Bedford, an uncle, Bill Norman of Lake Worth, FL, an aunt, Peggy Ellis of Mars, and a niece, Michelle Rostagno of Harrisburg.  He was preceded in death by a sister, Sherry Smyth.

Jim was a 1971 graduate of Chestnut Ridge High School, and a 1975 graduate of Mansfield College, where he obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education.  He then completed his Master’s Degree at Frostburg State University, and retired from the Bedford Area School District after 35 years.  He enjoyed boating, camping, and taking his classic cars to the shows.

At Jim’s request there will be no viewing or service.  Arrangements by the Timothy A.
