James D. Frye

James D. Frye, 77, of West John Street, Bedford, died Thursday, July 3, 2014, at Golden Living Center Hillview, in Altoona.  He was born on November 4, 1936, in Phillipsburg, a son of the late Robert J. and Mabel (Funk) Frye.  On October 4, 1958, in Cumberland, MD, he married Beverly A. (Bagley) Frye, who survives along with the following family:  two daughters, Jody A. Frye, and Karen S. Frye, both of Bedford; two grandchildren: James R. Frye and wife Crystal, and Ashley N. Frye; two great-grandchildren: Madison L., and Aubrie L. Frye; two brothers: Max R. Frye and wife Sydney, of Arizona, and Arthur L. Frye, of Port Matilda; and a sister Anita Faye Newman, of State College.

Mr. Frye was of the Methodist Faith.  He was employed with Continental Trucking for 28 years, Blue Triangle for 6 years, and retired from Cannondale, after 7 years.  He enjoyed watching NASCAR, football, baseball, westerns, and spending time with his friends.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at 11:00 a.m., in the Chapel, at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford, with Jim Miller, officiating.  Burial at Bedford Cemetery.  Friends will be received on Monday, from 6-9 p.m., at the funeral home.  Our online guestbook is available at www.berkebilefuneralhome.com
