James R. Baker

James R. Baker, 22, of Bedford Valley Road, Bedford went to be with the Lord on Thursday May, 12, 2011 at his home.  He was born January 1, 1989 in Everett, son of James G. and Pamela (Sadler) Baker.  He is survived by five brothers and sisters; Joseph L. Baker, Aaron S. Lafferty, Noah A. Baker, Jessica E. Lafferty and Jenna M. Baker all at home, Maternal Grandparents; Cleo and Ed Wolford of Bedford, Joy and Tom Blackburn of Cresson and Paternal Grandparents; Gemma L Baker of Bedford and the late Lewis F. Bakerand numerous nieces and nephews.

James was a 2007 graduate of Bedford High School, and attended Allegheny Community College, studying forestry.  He worked in maintenance at North Midway, and was a Sr. Airman E4 with the Air Force Reserves.  He enjoyed the outdoors, kayaking at Cumberland Dam, camping at Raystown Lake, and cooking and growing herbs.

Funeral services: Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel at Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford with Rev. Jeff Welsch officiating. Burial at Bedford County Memorial Park with military rites conducted by the Fort Bedford Honor Guard.
