Jacqueline N. Potter

Mrs. Jacqueline N. Potter, 77, a resident of Bedford, PA for 52 years, died on Sunday, August 31, 2008, in Frederick, MD.  She was born on February 5, 1931, in Wiley Ford, WV.  Jackie was the daughter of the late Jacob E. Nield and Roseanna (Brandt) Nield.  Her husband, Vance E. Potter, preceded her in death on September 2, 2007.  She was also preceded in death by one sister, Patricia (Nield) Bible, and two brothers, Richard E. Nield and Ronald E. Nield.

Jackie graduated from Ridgeley High School in Ridgeley, WV in 1949.  She worked in the airline industry for 5 years in Miami, FL and in New York, NY.  In Bedford, she was a real estate salesperson for 20 years.  She was a member of the Bedford Presbyterian Church.

Jackie is survived by her children, daughter Janet (Potter) Kuhns and husband Douglas of Frederick, MD, two sons, Edward V. Potter of Sarasota, FL, and Wayne R. Potter and wife Karen of Sarasota, FL, and by her grandchildren, Sarah, Jason, and Megan Kuhns.  Jackie is also survived by sisters Linda (Nield) Way and husband Eugene (Buster) of Bedford, and Carol (Nield) O’Connell and husband William of Barboursville, WV, brother Gary Nield of Cumberland, MD, and numerous nieces and nephews and their families.

Private (family only) funeral services will be held at the cemetery chapel at Rocky Gap Veterans Cemetery in Rocky Gap State Park, Flintstone, MD, with the Rev.
