Jack H. Sipes

Jack H. Sipes, 78, of Locust Drive Everett, died Sunday, October 21, 2007 at Altoona Regional Hospital.  He was born on May 16, 1929 in Everett, a son of the late Russel A.  and Laura (Zimmerman) Sipes. On April 1, 1948 in Cumberland, MD, He married the late Una Irene Wigfield and she preceded him in death on August 14, 2007.  He is survived by two sons Steven A Sipes of Latrobe and Gregory W. Sipes married to the former Molly Sammon of Shermans Dale one grandson Adrian Sipes of Shermans Dale one sister, Mary Stiffler- Bowser and husband Jack of Bedford a brother, Richard R. Sipes and wife Judy of Chicago, Il, and many nieces and nephews.   He was preceded in death by four brothers Robert E., Paul F., George W., and Percy P. Sipes.  Three sisters Mabel Johnson husband William of Bedford, Katherine A. Seville, Marjorie J. Wolf, and 2 infant sisters.

He was a member of the First Christian Church in Everett and the Everett Masonic Lodge # 524.  He had worked for Sprint for over 40 years. He was very active in his younger years, playing baseball with the Everett team, and coaching little league and junior legion baseball.  He loved all animals, especially his dogs and also enjoyed reading.

Graveside services on Tuesday, October 23, 2007, at 11:00 AM from Everett Cemetery with the Rev. Robert R. Robertson officiating.  There will be no visitation. Arrangements by Timothy A.
