J. Robert Arnold

J. Robert Arnold, 79, of West Penn Street Bedford, died Monday March 12, 2007 at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital.  He was born on August 11, 1927 in Bedford, A son of the late Bernard R. and Pearl A. (Yutzy) Arnold. On September 3, 1951 in Bedford he married Grace Ann Hankinson his wife of 55 years, she survives along with two sons:  Aloysius J. Arnold married to the former Kathy Over of Woodbury, and William R. Arnold married to the former Kathy Twigg, three daughters:  Elizabeth Arnold Antoun of Monroeville, Joanne wife of Herbert A. Evans and Lisa Arnold Fisher, both of Bedford. 1 sister Elizabeth A. widow of Coates Walton Jr. both of Bedford, five grandchildren:  Leslie wife of Jesse Yarnell, David Fisher, Shane Arnold, Kenny Arnold, Tammy wife of  Jason Cottle, two nieces:  Beth Hullihen and Betsy Walton,  two nephews:  Roger Arnold and Joseph Walton. He was preceded in death by one brother Joseph B. Arnold husband of Barbara of Bedford.

He was a member of the St. Thomas Catholic Church, a graduate of Bedford High School class of 1945, member of Bedford Elks Lodge 1707, for 50 years, and the Elks men's golfing and bowling Assoc.  Before his retirement he was a partner of Arnold’s Floor Covering.

Funeral Mass:  Friday, March 16, 2007, at 10:00 am  from the St Thomas Catholic Church in Bedford, with  Father Donald Dusza celebrant. Burial at St. Thomas Catholic Cemetery.  There will be no visitation. Arrangements by Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford.
