Isabelle P. Spiker, 89, of Donahue Manor Road, Bedford, died Thursday, May 17, 2012 at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital. She was born December 18, 1922 in Springfield, WV, daughter of the late Homer Richard and Jennie Pearl (Long) Didawick. On October 12, 1948 in Cumberland, MD, she married Donald W. Spiker who preceded her in death on May 31, 2006. She survived by three sons; Terry Spiker of Greensburg, Kevin Spiker married to the former Lori Black of Hopewell, Greg L. Spiker married to the former Shelby Spiker of Alum Bank, seven grandchildren; Kevin Jr., Jamie, Ryan, Kayla, Daniel, Chelsea & Morgan, two sisters; Betty Shrout of Short Gap, WV, Elsie Bergdoll of Romney, WV. She was preceded in death by a brother Richard, three sisters, Eva wife of Richard Pyles of Short Gap who survives, Frances Brelsford and Marie Shrout.
Mrs. Spiker was a member of the Alum Bank United Methodist Church and was retired from the Dietary Department of the former Memorial Hospital of Bedford County. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel at Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford with Rev. Gary Donaldson officiating.
