Howard "Rocky" Talbott

Howard “Rocky” Talbott 78, of Centerville, died on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at UPMC Western Maryland. He was born on December 14, 1942, in Bedford, a son of the late Glenwood and Pearl (Miller) Talbott.  He married his wife of 58 years Sondra (Yost) Talbott in 1963 and she survives along with two daughters:  Susan Talbott and special friend Randy Womack of Suffolk, VA; Melinda Hamilton and husband Gene of Short Gap, WV; one grandson Cole Hamilton of Short Gap, WV; and two great-grandchildren Mia Carrier and Adrianna Talbott.  Special Friends: Brian Miller, Johnny Adams, Vaughn Bragg, Jim Dawson and a special nephew Charles “Chuck” Jackson.    He was preceded in death by one sister Nyoka Thomas.

Howard was a Navy Veteran and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. He worked as a Press Operator for Standard Register until their closing and then retired from JLG. Rocky enjoyed playing blue grass music with his guitar and playing music with his grandson Cole and his band Center Fire.
