Helen D. (Pyle) Shaffer, 85 formerly of Bedford, died Thursday, May 4, 2017 in Holiday, FL. She was born on June 25, 1931 in Wellsburg, WV, a daughter of the late Edward and Gladys (Mock) Pyle. She is survived by two sons: Robert Shaffer, of Somerset, and Gary Shaffer, of Bedford; five grandchildren: and six great-grandchildren, and longtime neighbor and friend Pat Rogers, of Holiday, FL. She was preceded in death by a son Michael Shaffer.
Helen was a 1949 graduate of Bedford High School, and was a member of the First United Methodist Church, of Tarpon Spring, FL, and attended the Bedford United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held private. Arrangements by the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford.
