Helen T. Lilly

Helen T. Lilly 90 of W. Sixth St., Oil City, died Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at the Titusville Hospital.  She was born July 28, 1917 in Mercer, daughter of the late John and Blanche (Reeher) Taylor.  On April 26, 1941 in Mercer, she married William H. Lilly and he preceded her in death on April 23, 1978.  She is survived by two children: Steven T. Lilly married to the former Margo Necci of Erie and Lynne M. wife of Timothy Berkebile of Bedford, four grandchildren Paula Crew, Kent Lilly, Mark and Aaron Berkebile, two great grandchildren Devin and Timothy and two nieces Sue Rodemoyer and Jill Vollmer.  She was preceded in death by one sister Marion McCartney.

Mrs. Lilly was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Oil City, a member of the Pennsylvania School Retirees, Belles Letter Club, YWCA and the Gallivanters.  She worked for the Oil City School tax office for many years, and prior to that had worked for Catlin Business Service in Oil City and Sterling Oil Division in Emlenton.  She was a 1935 graduate of Mercer High School and a 1937 graduate of Grove City College.

Funeral Services: Saturday, November 24, 2007 at 11:00 am from the Morrison Funeral Home in Oil City with Rev.  officiating.  Burial at Brandon Cemetery in Seneca.  Friends will be received on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the funeral home.
