Helen M. Berry

Helen M. Berry 90 of Bedford, went home to the Lord on Sunday, August 17, 2008 at Donahoe Manor Nursing Home.  She was born April 13, 1918 in Carlisle, daughter of the late George and Grace (Brumbaugh) Eldon.  On October 25, 1947 in Palmayra she married Vernon C. Berry and he preceded her in death on January 5, 1973.  She is survived by a daughter Joanne Smouse of Bedford, two sons: William Berry and wife Kathy of Pittsford, NY and Robert Berry and wife Kelly of Harrisburg, a step-daughter Linda wife of Paul Jacques of Indialantic, FL, eight grandchildren: Roland Barnett, Lisa Barnett, Paul Jacques Jr., Maurice Jacques, Michael Hershberger, Jennifer, Nicholas and Lauren Berry, and two special great granddaughters: Sydney and Ryley.  She was preceded in death by two sisters: Lean Riley and Jean Galloway and a grandson Timothy Hershberger.

Mrs. Berry was a member of the Bedford Presbyterian Church, a member of the Bedford Elks ladies golf and was an avid bridge player and golfer.  She had worked at Hedstrom Corp for 11 years.

Funeral Services: Thursday 11:00 AM in the Chapel at Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford with Rev. Doug Friant officiating.  Burial at Bedford Cemetery.  Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers Helen would like you to donate to your favorite charity in her name.  Our online guest book is available at www.berkebilefuneralhome.com.
