Hazel V. Stiffler, 86, of Centerville, died on Friday, February 13, 2026 at UPMC Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh. She was born on September 17, 1939 in Bedford, a daughter of the late Irvin and Dicie (Williams) Bennett. On December 1, 1963 in Cumberland, MD, she married Robert E. Stiffler and he preceded her in death on January 2, 2000. She is survived by a son: Kenneth E. Stiffler and wife Manuela of Hungary; and a daughter: Dottie Stiffler of Centerville; six grandchildren: Kira, Kian, Maya, Crystall, Brandi, and Heather; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son: Robert I. Stiffler and his wife Jo; five brothers: Stewart, Hod, Ernie, Vernon, and Sherman; and two sisters: Doris and Viola.
Hazel was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church. During the 1970’s and 1980’s, she worked as a waitress at the Bedford Springs and she also helped care for the elderly. She enjoyed dancing, going to church, talking to people, and truly loved and cared for her family and friends.
