Hazel (Simons) Amos

Hazel Amos, 89, of New Paris, died on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at Meyersdale Health Care and Rehab Center. She was born on May 16, 1932, in Bedford a daughter of the late John Wade and Grace E. (Miller) Simons. On December 6, 1950 in Cumberland, MD she married Delmar J. Amos who preceded her in death on July 16, 2005. She is survived by five sons:  Delmar J. Amos Jr. of Ligonier; Tom Amos and wife Tammy of Waynesboro; Tim Amos and wife Bonnie of Schellsburg; Terry Amos of Harrisburg; Mark Amos and wife Ulrike of Bedford; two daughters:  Stephanie Layton of Bedford; and Patricia Amos of New Paris; 8 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandson; and one sister Donna Beegle of Baltimore, MD.  She was preceded in death by one daughter, Diana Grimm  one son,  Zachary Amos three brothers:  John, Bill, and Walter Simons; and one sister, Betty Price.

Hazel was of the protestant faith and enjoyed cooking.
