Harry Edward Heming 82, of Bedford, died on Sunday, July 17, 2022 at UPMC Altoona Hospital. He was born on August 21, 1939 in Bedford, a son of the late Harry S. and Margaret Marie (Donahoe) Heming. On August 7, 1965, in Bedford, at the St. Thomas Catholic Church he married Norma Jean (Claycomb) Heming who survives along with the following family: a son Joseph W. Heming and wife Georgina of Columbia, MD; a granddaughter, Rebecca Heming of Charlottesville, VA; and a grandson Luke Heming of San Juan, Puerto Rico. He was preceded in death by three brothers Francis “Red”, Richard, and George Heming; five sisters: Magdalen “Delane” Imler, Dorothy Claycomb, Hazel Worzalla, Anna Zdon, and Ruth Clark.
Harry was a member of the St. Thomas Catholic Church. He graduated from Bedford High School class of 1957 and served in the U.S. Army. He worked in the job department as a printing press operator for the Bedford Gazette. He also worked as a printing press operator for Standard Register. After Standard Register closed, he worked for Wal-Mart in the lawn and garden department. Some of his hobbies included bowling, gardening, and building model airplanes.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 22, 2022, at 10:00 a.m., in the Chapel at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford, with Father Richard Tomkosky officiating.
