Harry D. Corle

Harry D. Corle 78, of Bedford, died Saturday, July 3, 2021 at Pennknoll Village.  He was born on February 21, 1943 in Bedford, a son of the late David F. and Alda A. (Jordon) Corle.  On August 10, 1963 in Bedford he married Viola F. (Miller) Corle who survives along with two children: Tina A. Mock and husband Doug, of Inwood, WV, and Tony L. Corle and girlfriend Jessica, of Cessna; four grandchildren: Nicholas Corle, Teresa Mock, Amanda Armstrong, and Scott Mock; three great-grandchildren: Brayden Corle, Gracelyn Armstrong, and Steven Armstrong; a brother William Corle widower of Sally, of Manns Choice; and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.  He was preceded in death by four brothers: infant Junior, twin Harold, Rolla, and Charles Corle.

Harry retired from Hedstrom after 30 years, and also worked at Smith Furniture, Howard Johnsons, and the Bedford County Home.  He loved working in his flower garden, and raising sheep and goats.  He attended Faith Brethren Church, in Schellsburg.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 8, 2021 at 11:00 a.m., in the Chapel at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford, with Pastor Jim Espenshade officiating.  Burial at Anderson Cemetery.  Friends will be received on Wednesday, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to: Anderson Cemetery, c/o St. John’s Christian Church, 242 Wedgewood Lane, New Paris, PA 15554.
