Harriet L. Godfrey, 79, of Bedford, died Saturday, April 7, 2012 at Pennknoll Village Nursing Home. She was born on January 17, 1933, in Manns Choice, a daughter, of the late Jason and Viola (Miller) Ritchey. On October 23, 1951, in Winchester, VA, she married Edward V. Godfrey who preceded her in death on February 18, 2008. She is survived by the following family: a son Edward Godfrey of Michigan, five daughters: Joyce wife of Ed Wilkins of Crown Point, IN, Linda Stroder of Norwalk, OH, Barbara wife of Keith Hall of Elymira, OH, Martha wife of Mike Fritz of Norwalk, OH, and Ellen Godfrey of California; many grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren, four sisters:, Jennie Ritchey of Altoona, Betty wife of William Baughman of Fayetteville, Francis Hillegas of Bedford, Ann wife of Charles Diefendorfer of Norwalk, OH; one brother Harry Ritchey and wife Marie of New Paris. She was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters.
