Harold D. Riggleman
February 19, 1934 — July 22, 2015
Harold D. Riggleman, 81, formerly of Bedford, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 22, 2015, at Hollidaysburg Veterans Home. He was born on February 19, 1934, in Cumberland, MD, a son of the late Robert Riggleman, and Gladys (Moreland) Funk. He was preceded in death by his wife of 17 years, Thelma “Babe” Riggleman. He is survived by three half-sisters, Evelyn, Mary, and Dolly, special niece, Debbie, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by a brother, Buck Riggleman, four half brothers: Billy, Henry, Doug, and Maurice; an uncle, Maurice Moreland, and an aunt Kathryn Landeros.
Harold was an Army Veteran, and member of the VFW and American Legion. He worked at the A&P Bakery of Pittsburgh from 1952 to 1972, and the Standard Pipe & Supply Co, of South Side, Pittsburgh, from 1972 to 1982. He was always cheerful, and never missed a church service at the Veterans Home. He always kept a large garden, and loved animals, especially his two dogs Princess and Tramp, and his cat, Miss Kitty.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 24, 2015, at 3:00 p.m., in the Chapel, at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford, with Jim Miller, officiating.
