H. Paul Hunt, 83, formerly of Bedford, died Saturday, November 30, 2013. He was a son to Benjamin and Mary Pearl Hunt.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean, earlier this year, and a brother, Tom B. Hunt. He is survived by his sister, Margie Clark, four children, Michael, Margie Regan, Ben, and Betsy Keefer, his stepson, Thomas Rudloff; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Paul was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. After his military service, he became a partner in the family business known as Bedford County Lumber Company. He was an expert draftsman and master cabinetmaker, and later took those trades to Pueblo, Colo., where he and Jean moved in 1974.
While living in Colorado, Paul enjoyed his lifelong love of horses and was active in the local rodeo, and trail riding clubs. Paul and Jean spent their latter years in the warm climate of Sun City, AZ.
A memorial service will be held, Friday, January 3, 2014, at 1:00 p.m., in the Chapel, at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford, with Pastor Jenny Barnes officiating. Our online guestbook is available at www.berkebilefuneralhome.com
