Gregory J. Cessna

Gregory J. Cessna, 54, of Clear Ridge Road, Artemas, died Friday, September 7, 2007.  He was born on December 9, 1952 in Everett, the son of Margaret (Foor) Cessna and the late Donald F. Cessna of Intercourse, PA.  Also surviving are two children Jason and Amy Cessna, both of Artemas, a sister Maria wife of Rob Rambo of Leesburg, VA., a cousin, whom he called brother, Ted Miller and wife Barb of Bedford, and numerous other family members and friends.

Greg was self employed and owned, Cessna’s Painting and Home Repair. He loved to hunt, fly fish, golf, and bowl and was a regular pool shooter for the Everett Legion.  He coached little league baseball and elementary basketball.  He was also a PIAA Umpire for high school softball. He was a member of the Moose Lodge #480, Down River Golf Course, Everett Legion Post #8 and the Everett Redmen.  He lived for his kids and was a generous contirbutor to children’s and veteran’s charities.

Funeral Services on Tuesday, September 11, 2007, at 4:00 PM in the chapel at Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford, with the Rev. Douglas Albert officiating.  Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, at 3:00 PM until the hour of the service at the funeral home. In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the children’s charity,  “Mooseheart”, Bedford Moose Lodge #480, 123 South Richard Street, Bedford, PA 15522 in his memory.  Our online guest book is available at www.berkebilefuneralhome.com.
