Grace A. Arnold

Grace Ann Arnold, 81 of  W. Penn St., Bedford, died Saturday, October 1, 2011 at Colonial Courtyard.  She was born November 26, 1929 in New Baltimore, daughter of the late Francis and Mary Regina (Harbrandt) Hankinson.  On September 3, 1951 in Bedford, she married J. Robert Arnold and he preceded her in death on March 12, 2007.

She is survived by five children: Aloysius J. Arnold married to the former Kathy Over of Woodbury, Elizabeth Arnold Antoun of Pittsburgh, Joanne wife of Herbert A. Evans, Lisa Fisher and William R. Arnold married to the former Kathy Twigg all of Bedford, one sister Mary Regina (Jeannnine) Miller, five grandchildren; Shane Arnold, Kenny Arnold, Lesley Yarnell, David Fisher, and Tammy Cottle; two great grandchildren Madison and Jaden Cottle and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by two sisters:, Mary Elizabeth Tholt, and Teresa Petyak and four brothers Francis L. Hankinson, Very Reverend Canon Aloysius J. Hankinson, Father Phillip Hankinson, and Major Patrick J. Hankinson.

Mrs. Arnold was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church in Bedford and attended St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Everett.  She was a retired photo license operator and a former member and treasurer of the Bedford Elks Ladies Aux and former member of the Elks Ladies Bowling League.

Mass of Christian burial will be on Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Bedford with Father Donald Dusza Celebrant.  There will be no visitation.  In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make contributions to St. Thomas Catholic Church, 215 E. Penn St., Bedford, or St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church, 161 E. First St. Everett, PA.  Arrangements by Timothy A.
