Gloria J. Sturtz, 63, formerly of Bedford, died Thursday, August 21, 2014, at Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Carlisle, PA. She was born on March 28, 1951, and is the adopted daughter of Cyrus Sturtz, of Bedford, and the late Goldie (Holsopple) Sturtz. She is survived by her adopted brother, Roger Sturtz, and biological siblings Dorsey Morgan, Robert Morgan, and sisters Barb Hoffman, Elaine Egan, and Wendy Judy. She was preceded in death by a foster brother, Charles Ogline, and three biological siblings Charles, Patty, and Anna Mae Morgan. Gloria was a member of the Manns Choice Church of God. Prior to being afflicted with multiple sclerosis, she worked as a nurse’s aide at the Cumberland Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 25, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford. Rev. Richard Whetstone will officiate. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park. Friends will be received on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of the service at the funeral home.
