Gladys I. (Mock) Winesickle

Gladys I. Winesickle 97, of Everett, went to be with her Savior Jesus Christ Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at Pennknoll Village.  She was born on July 18, 1923, in Nanty Glo, a daughter of the late Jacob R. and Eva Mae (Mahan) Mock.  She was raised in the Fishertown area.  On January 5, 1941 in Everett, she married her husband of 59 years, John A. Winesickle, who preceded her in death in July of 2000.  She is survived by six daughters: Sandra Ibarra and husband Ramon, Shirley Greenawalt widow of Frank, Mary Imler and husband John, all of Bedford, Nellie Oliver and husband Richard, of Massapequa Park, NY, Margaret Farkas and husband Paul, of Shippensburg, and Ruth Straub and husband Joseph, of Bedford; a son, Rev. John E. Winesickle and wife Rhonda, of Bellwood; 17 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a brother Roy Mock.

John and Gladys raised their children to know and love Jesus.  She worked at the South Midway Howard Johnsons for 29 years.  She loved cooking, baking, and was well known for her delicious bread and cinnamon rolls.

A memorial service will be held at a later date with her son Rev. John Winesickle officiating.  Burial at Fishertown Cemetery.  Arrangements by the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford.  Our online guestbook is available at www.berkebilefuneralhome.com.
