Gertrude L. Clark

Gertrude “Trudy” L. Clark, 84, of, Bedford, died Friday, December 12, 2008 at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital.  She was born on September 5, 1924 at Mineola, NY, a Daughter of the late Richard M. and Louise Morrell.  On May 4, 1942 in Cumberland, MD, She married the late Joseph B. Clark who preceded her in death on January 30, 1999.  She is survived by two daughters, April, wife of Gary Ross of Manns Choice, and a daughter, Linda, wife of John Spillane of Royal Palm Beach, FL, four grandchildren: David Felten, Joyce Ross, Lori Henning, and Kristen Parker, and three great grandchildren.

She was a member and choir director for many years at the Wolfsburg United Methodist Church.  She was also a member of the RSVP Singers, and had worked for MHMR and the former North Elementary Grade School as a teachers aid.  During WWII she volunteered with USO.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, December 16, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel at Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford. with the Rev. Phyllis Hunter officiating.  Burial in Bedford Cemetery.  Friends will be received on Monday, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM, at the funeral home.
