Genevieve M. McCavitt, 90, of Lincoln Highway, Manns Choice, died Monday evening, March 5, 2012 at her home, with her family by her side. She was born on March 2, 1922 in Defiance, a daughter of the late Charles P. and Mary Elizabeth (Long) McCavitt. She is survived by a sister, Louise Smith and a niece Mary Ann Smith, both of Manns Choice. She was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Denny James Smith and her dog Ginger.
Genevieve was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church in Bedford, and worked for over 40 years for the G.C. Murphy Company in Bedford. She enjoyed cooking, reading, knitting and spending time with her family and friends.
Funeral Mass: Thursday, March 8, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Thomas Catholic Church in Bedford with Father Donald Dusza, celebrant. Burial will be at St. Thomas Catholic Cemetery.
