Genevieve J. Howard 79 of Markwood Drive, Bedford, died Saturday, March 31, 2007 at her home. She was born June 23, 1929, in Bagley, PA, daughter of the late Anthony Joseph and Julia Ann (Kustron) Guzik. On August 11, 1951 in Latrobe she married Joseph H. Howard who survives along with a daughter Emily Marie wife of Brian David Berkey of Elkton, MD. Also surviving are two grandsons, John Howard Berkey and Steven Howard Berkey, three sisters, Margaret Mary Guzik of Greensburg, Helen Genevieve Fromholzer of Boulder, Col., and Ann Mary Meholic of Latrobe. She was preceded in death by one sister Stella Elizabeth Kovach.
Mrs. Howard graduated from Latrobe High School class of 1947.
She was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church in Bedford and had worked at Kennametal Corp, Beneficial Finance and the Bedford Branch of the Association for the Blind.
Funeral services: Tuesday 11:00 AM in the chapel at Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford with Father Donald Dusza officiating. Burial at St. Thomas Catholic Cemetery.
