Genevieve "Genny" (Heit) Wirick

Genevieve "Genny" (Heit) Wirick 90, of Bedford died in her husband’s arms on Thursday, November 26, 2020 at Bedford Colonial Courtyard. She was born on March 10, 1930, in Bedford, a daughter of the late George and Grace (Mountain) Heit. She was raised by her grandparents Walter and Cora Mountain. On August 1, 1948, in Everett, she married Eugene "Corky" Wirick who survives along with a daughter, Jacque Malick and husband William Malling of Boulder, CO; and a son, Larry Wirick of Petaluma, CA. There are 4 grandchildren, Molly and Marissa Wirick, Devon Malling, and Sol Malick, and 1 great-grandchild, Everly Malick.

Genny, was a member of the Bedford United Methodist Church and graduated from Bedford High School Class of 1948.  As a young family, she and Corky traveled frequently in their RV exploring the beauty of United States and continued that traveling passion into their retirement years to Florida, where they embraced a fun community of many Florida friends. In her later years Genny loved reading Danielle Steele novels, shopping with her best buddy Helen Judy, and playing bridge with a close knit circle of friends. Genny Wirick was a gentle soul and was well loved by all that met her. Recollections of her quiet strengths, her easy laughter, and endearing sense of humor will live on in our hearts
