Galen E. Imler

Galen E. Imler, 82, of Bedford, died on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at Bedford Skilled Nursing. He was born on August 1, 1942, in Bedford, a son of the late E. Lester and Dorothy Fay (Replogle) Imler. He is survived by two nieces, Michelle Boyd and husband Bobby of Longview, TX, and Jennifer Hale and husband Anthony of McCalla, AL; four great-nieces:  Ashlee, Baylee, Samantha, and Cassidy; a great-nephew: R.J.; five cousins, Dona Foor, Fay Greise, Shari Shippey and husband Mark, Donald Replogle Jr. and wife of Jeanne all of Manns Choice, and Mike Welsh and wife Gale of Bedford.  He was preceded in death by a sister, Cornelia Ann "Kitti" Swaynos.

Galen served in the Army and made a career out of it.  He was a member of the Bedford American Legion Post # 113, Bedford VFW # 7527, Fur Takers of America, and the Pennsylvania and Virginia Trappers Association.  He was also a member of the Bedford Sportsman’s Club.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford with Pastor Tim Guyer officiating.  Burial at St. James Lutheran Cemetery with full military rites conducted by the Fort Bedford Honor Guard.  Friends will be received on Tuesday, from 10 -11 a.m. at the funeral home.
