G. William "Bill" Foreman

G. William “Bill” Foreman, 85, of Bedford, died on Monday, August 31, 2026 at Bedford Colonial Courtyard. He was born on February 20, 1941 in Friends Cove, a son of the late Bernard Lee and Rachel (Cessna) Foreman. On May 30, 1964 in Bedford, he married Joanne (Rose) Foreman and she survives along with a son: Matthew Foreman of Clarence, NY; a brother: Thomas Foreman and wife Karen of Hollidaysburg; a sister: Sheila May and husband Barry of Bedford; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 5 brothers and sisters, Richard Foreman, Martha Jane Hershberger, Samuel Foreman, Charles Henry “Hank” Foreman, and James Foreman.

Bill did many things throughout his working career. In his earlier years, he worked as a farmer at the dairy farm he resided at, and later worked at Kennametal for close to 10 years. He spent many years enjoying his travels on the PA Turnpike where he would fill the candy and soda machines at the rest stops. Bill enjoyed hunting, loved his dogs and cats, and was a big NASCAR fan during the Dale Earnhardt era. The family wishes to extend a thank you to both UPMC Hospice and Colonial Courtyard for taking great care of Bill.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 4, 2026 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford with Pastor Brad Zembower officiating. Burial at Bedford County Memorial Park. Friends will be received on Friday from 12 p.m. until the hour of the service at the funeral home.
