Frederick A. Yont 97 of Pensacola, FL, formerly of Bedford joined his loving family in heaven on Wednesday March 7, 2007. He was born in Bedford on May 10, 1909, son of the late Charles and Margaret (Leo) Yont. He lived many years with his family in the Old Bedford Hotel, owned and operated by his family.
Freddie inspired all of those who were blessed to know him. Despite his handicap,
He worked his entire life – at the hotel, at Hoare Johnson’s and finally at Bedford High School where he ultimately retired from the Bedford School system.
Freddie was an excellent cook, learning his skills from his mother at the hotel. He was a skilled card player and enjoyed arranging his annual card parties and luncheons for his dear Bedford friends. He was a devout Catholic.
