Frank W. Krentz

Frank W. Krentz 64 of Pavia, died Monday, September 1, 2008 at Conemaugh Valley Memorial Hospital in Johnstown.  He was born August 6, 1944 in Johnstown, son of the late Francis W. and Catherine J. (Slick) Krentz. He was first married to Noreen M. Skasko and she preceded him in death in 2001.  On July 6, 2005 in Hawaii he married Myra Dibert Whysong and she survives along with a son John P. Krentz and wife Nancy of York, a step-daughter Katie M. Whysong of Pavia, three grandchildren: Justin, Jonathan and Jillian, a brother Marty Krentz and wife Judy of Fishertown, two nieces: Kim wife of Chris Broberg and Kerri Krentz and Fiancé Nick Marinaro, four nephews: Mark, Kevin, Barry and Brian Grasso.  Also surviving is a sister-in-law Patricia wife of Fred Grasso of Maryland.

Mr. Krentz was a graduate of Johnstown High School class of 1962 and a 1968 graduate of Shippensburg University.  He was a member of Mt. Zion Reform Church in Pavia where he served as a trustee.  He was also a member of the Sons of the American Legion and an associate member of the VFW. He had great respect for all veterans and a deep sense of gratitude for their service. He was a retired business teacher at Forest Hills High School where he had taught for 31 years, prior to that he worked in a photo lab for the FBI in Washington DC.

Memorial services: Thursday 11:00 AM in the Chapel at Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford with Bradley Allison officiating.  Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the Fort Bedford Honor Guard, c/o Pete Innes, 205 Red Oak Road, New Paris, PA 15554 or the Cambria County Humane Society, P. O.
