Francis A. Tew

Francis A. Tew, 64, of Bedford died on Sunday, May 9, 2021 at Pennknoll Village Nursing Home. He was born on September 11, 1956 in Bedford a son of the late Paul L. and Hazel A. (Miller) Tew. On May 2, 1986 in Bedford he married Catherine (Pensyl) Tew who preceded him in death on January 28, 2019.  He is survived by a son Samuel Tew and wife Shanna of New Paris; five sisters: Grace Blair and husband Ray, Paula Foreman and husband Lee, Jean Benna and husband Robert,  Jane Duncan widow of Jeff, Sally Cover and husband Terry all of Bedford; three brothers, David Tew widower of Jane, Ted Tew and wife Wanda, and Wayne Tew all of Bedford; three grandchildren:  Storm, Gabriella and Mattie Tew all of Bedford; and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by a brother Carl Tew, a sister Janice Clark, a nephew Richard Benna, and a niece Brandi Nave.

Francis was a member of the River of God Church in Bedford and graduated from Bedford High School in 1976.  He worked for various places that included Hedstrom, the Little Barn, Omni Springs Resort and most recently Pomp’s Tire.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel, at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford with Pastor Richard Reed officiating. Burial will be private.
