Francis G. Claar

Francis G. Claar 76, of Fishertown, died Thursday, July 20, 2023 at Holy Spirit Hospital, in Camp Hill.  He was born on April 2, 1947 in Bedford, a son of the late F. Joseph Miller and Grace Catherine Claar.  He then married Barbara Claar who survives along with numerous extended family members, and close friend from childhood who he served alongside with in Vietnam, Bob Imler.

Francis served in the US Army during the Vietnam War as a Mechanic.  He was honorably discharged in 1974 at the rank of Private.

Friends and family will be received on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 from 10:00 – 10:45 a.m., at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford.  Graveside services to follow at 11:00 a.m., at the Bedford County Memorial Park, with military rites conducted by the Fort Bedford Honor Guard.  Our online guestbook is available at www.berkebilefuneralhome.com.
