Frances Reichelderfer

Frances “Slene” Reichelderfer  95 of Donahoe Manor died March 29th 2002 at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital.  She was born on September 18, 1906 in Snakespring TWP a daughter to the late Clarence C. and Carrie (Hughes) Foreman.  She was preceded in death by two husbands Herman “Jerry” Ritchey, and Charles W. Richelderfer.  She is survived by the following children:  Eric G. Ritchey married to the former Nancy Cessna of Rainsburg and Charwin G. Reichelderfer married to the former Barbara Harclerode of Bedford 9 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren, and 1 brother Joseph H. Foreman of Tama, Iowa.  She was preceded in death by 3 infant sons, 1 daughter Madolyn Schreiber, 2 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, 4 brothers:  Lorraine , Glen, Mearl, and Max Foreman.

Mrs. Reichelderfer  was of the Lutheran Faith and a member of the American Legion Aux.  In earlier years Mrs. Reichelderfer had worked for Bell Telephone and the former Claar Telephone Co. as an operator and later at the Bedford Springs as a Telephone operator.

Funeral Services Tuesday at 11:00 AM from the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford with the Rev. Karen Wright officiating burial at Bedford County Memorial Park.  Friends will be received on Monday from 6-9 PM at the Funeral Home.  In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to Donahoe Manor, Activities Director, 136 Donahoe Manor Road, Bedford, Pa. 15522.
