Flora M. Mason

Flora Mae Mason, 80, of Oppenheimer Road, Bedford, died Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital.  She was born on May 20, 1928, in Bedford, a daughter of the late Elmer C. and Irma M. (Harbaugh) Claycomb.  On July 2, 1950 in Bedford, she married Carl E. Mason and he survives along with the following children: Jerry C. Mason of Wonderlake, IL, Ronda, wife of William  Leitch of Wooster, OH Ann, wife of Jeffrey Flowers of Oakmont, Barbara, wife of John Ford of Etters, 12  grandchildren John Maxwell Mason, Andrea Mason, Margaret wife of J.C. Christensen, Patrick Leitch and wife Joanna, Natalie wife of Chad Kohler, Shawn, Benjamin, Grace and Hayley Flowers, Paige, Victoria, and John Ford, Seven great grandchildren, two sisters, June Caro and Faye Latshaw both of Bedford.

She was a member of the Bedford Presbyterian Church, and was very active in the Messiah Lutheran Church while growing up.  She was also a member of the D.A.R., the I.T.C. and life member and current master of Bedford Grange.

Funeral Services: Saturday, May 9, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel at Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford, with Rev. Doug Friant officiating.  Burial at Bedford County Memorial Park.  Friends will be received on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
