Eugene S. Beegle

Eugene S. Beegle, 87, formerly of Bedford, passed away on July 19, 2018, in Martinsburg. He was born on March 27, 1931, in Bedford County, a son of the late Glenn S. and Mary E. (Kegg) Beegle. On May 13, 1950, in Denver, CO, he married Bedford County native Patricia J. Weaver who passed away in 2014. He is survived by two daughters: Vicki Dimond and husband Rodney, of Enville, TN, Gwen Beegle and husband Bob Day of Easton, MD; six grandchildren: Erin Wilkerson and Claire Frazier of Savannah, TN; Caitlin Wedel and Arden Day of Lawrence, KS;  Nicholas Beegle of Murfreesboro, TN, Kathleen Delaney of Lakeland, TN; five great-grandchildren Kelsi and  Kade Garrard, Mia Frazier, Della and Zoey Wedel; one great-great-granddaughter Khloe Hardin; and a brother Samuel Beegle widower Mary of Everett.   He was also preceded in death by a son, Bryan Eugene Beegle, and a sister, Ann Tate.

He graduated from Colorado School of Trades in Denver, CO, in 1950. He owned and operated Beegle’s Sporting Goods in Bedford from 1951-1970 before moving to Tennessee in 1970. He graduated from Christ for the Nations Bible College in Dallas, TX, in 1985.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 24, 2018, at 11:00 a.m., in the Chapel at Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford, with Rev. Gerald McCuller Jr. officiating.
