Ethel E. (Miller) Tew

Ethel E. Tew, 76, of Centerville, died on December 21, 2017 at Meadow View Nursing Home in Berlin. She was born on October 13, 1941, in Bedford, a daughter of the late Norman F. and Nellie (Howsare) Miller. She is survived by two sons: Carl E. Tew, of Centerville, Paul F. Tew and wife Lois also of Centerville; one granddaughter, Melissa Black and husband Wesley; two great grandchildren: Paige E. Mueller and Gabriel J. Black; one brother Norman Miller Jr. and companion Cathy and a sister Betty Howsare-Koontz all of Centerville; a special nephew David Miller of Puerto Rico. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Pearl Street, and Shirley Bridges; two brothers, Homer and Robert Miller.

Ethel worked at the Pie Plate in Milford, CT for many years before coming to Bedford and working as a Hostess at Sbarro’s in the Midway Plaza.  She enjoyed flowers, gardening, and spending time with her family.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. in the Chapel, at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford with Pastor John Hollis officiating, burial at Union Cemetery, in Centerville.  Friends will be received on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of the service at the funeral home.
