Eric G. Ritchey

Eric G. Ritchey, 83, of Dillsburg died on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Carlisle. He was born on October 16, 1940 in Everett, a son of the late Herman Ritchey and Frances S. (Foreman) Reichelderfer. On July 8, 1962 in Rainsburg, he married Nancy (Cessna) Ritchey who survives along with a daughter Lisa Barker of Camp Hill; two grandchildren: Lindsey Haldeman and husband Michael of New Cumberland; Kelsey Barker and Taylor of Camp Hill; one brother Charwin Reichelderfer and wife Barb of Bedford; and many beloved nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by three infant brothers, and one sister Madolyn Schreiber.

Eric attended church with his wife at the Carlisle First Church of God.  He worked at a few places in Bedford that included Standard Register for 29 years and New Enterprise Stone and Lime and in Carlisle at Nell’s Market and Giant Foods.  Eric enjoyed hunting and was a huge Penn State fan.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford with Rev. Michael Poe officiating. Friends and family will be received on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of the service at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Friends and family are encouraged to wear their Penn State pride for Eric.
