Eric L. Growden

Eric L. Growden, 39, of Bedford and Fishertown, died Satuday, September 20, 2014, at his residence.  He was born on September 28, 1974, a son of Thomas L. Growden, of Cumberland, MD, and Althea R. (Kegg) Growden, of Bedford.  In addition to his parents he is survived by his partner, Lori B. Imler, god parents, Charlie J. Fleegle, and JoAnn Fleegle Bortz, and a sister Heather A. Growden, all of Bedford.  He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Guy and Cladys Kegg, paternal grandfather, Kenneth R. Growden, and an uncle George T. Beegle.

Mr. Growden worked as a property maintenance manager for Brajo Inc., for 7 years, and then for Walmart D.C. for 14 years.  He was a member of Kennels Mill Sportsman, Barrelville Sportsman Club, Pleasantville VFW Post #9219, Schellsburg VFW Post 4419, and Sons of the American Legion Post #113.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman, loved the outdoors, four-wheeling, and riding his motorcycle.  He had a strong faith, was conscientious, and proud of his work. He was a loving companion, son, brother, will be greatly missed by his pets, and all the lives he touched.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, September 24, 2014, at 10:00 a.m., at the St. Thomas Catholic Church, with Donald Dusza, Celebrant.  Burial at St. Thomas Catholic Cemetery.  Friends will be received on Tuesday, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., at the Timothy A.
