Eric D. “Skip” Blough 59 of S. Thomas St., Bedford, died December 9, 2006 at his residence. He was born October 14, 1947 in Roaring Spring, son of Irene (Cahagan ) Maurer of Martinsburg and the late Jesse N. Blough. He was formerly married to Eileen Cavanaugh and she survives along with three children: Jesse R. Blough, Eric W. Blough and Emily Rose Blough all of Bedford, a brother Steven A. Blough and wife MaryAnn of Aberdeen, MD and his step-father John Maurer of Martinsburg. Mr. Blough was graduate of Ridgefield High School in Ridgefield, NJ and was an Army Veteran that had served two tours in Vietnam. He was affiliated with the Seven Day Baptist Salemville Church and was a former member of the Bedford VFW. He was an avid outdoorsman and worked in maintenance at the Bedford Post Office for the past 20 years and prior to that worked at the post office in Mountvale, NJ.
Funeral Services: Tuesday 1:00 PM in the Chapel at Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford with Rev. Ed Sutton officiating. Burial in the Salemville Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Fort Bedford Honor Guard. There will be no visitation.
