Elva Madeline Boore Jenkins, 86, of Sweet Road Bedford, Pa. died Friday, January 11, 2008 at Carroll Hospital Center. She was born on May 30, 1921 in Bedford, A daughter of the late Addison and Carrie Pauline (Beegle) Boore. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Clayton Jenkins Sr. She is survived by the following family, a daughter, Carole Lamb of Mt. Airy, Md, daughter, Sharon wife of David Riddle of Woodbine, Md, Son, Robert Clayton Jenkins Jr. of Frederick, Md, 7 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter, 3 step-great grandchildren, 7 step-great great grandchildren, 3 brothers, Lloyd Boore and wife Dorothy of Baltimore, Md, Ronald Boore of Everett, and M. Eugene Boore of Reisterstown, Md, 3 sisters, Mary Butler of Mt. Airy, Md, Shirley Upton Imes of Everett, and Janet Calhoun and husband James of Everett. She was preceded in death by 1 grandson Dewayne Jenkins, 2 daughters: LaRue Davis and Laverne Jenkins, 5 brothers: M. Paul, William C., Gerald, John L., and David R., 3 sisters: Norma Jean, Helen Boore and Greta Clark Jenkins.
She was a waitress at the Double T diner in Ellicott City, Md and also previously worked as a Book Binder at Faccett Publishing in Gaithersburg, Md.
Funeral Services on Wednesday, January 16, 2008, at 11:00 AM in the Chapel at Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford, with the Rev. James E. Haddon officiating.
