Elmer C. Tiday 74 of Tulls Hill Road, Manns Choice, PA, went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 22, 2007 at the Life Care Hospital in Pittsburgh. He was born May 15, 1933 in Manns Choice, son of the late Elmer C. and Mary (Herline) Tiday. On December 1, 1955 in Cumberland, MD he married Alice Evans and she survives along with two children: Timothy R. Tiday married to the former Leah Winchel of Harrisburg, Luann C. wife of Raymond Burkey of Alum Bank, eight grandchildren: Tosha, Tonya, Angela, Ashley, Carla, Timmy, Corey and Cayden, four great grandchildren: Isaac, Brayden, Livia, Lexi and Ashton, a brother Russell Tiday and wife June of Mechanicsburg, two sisters: Mary Jane wife of James Hodges on Mercersburg and Ruth Walker of Bedford. He was preceded in death by a son Rodney T. Tiday, a brother James, a sister Anna Weneck and an infant sister Betty.
Mr. Tiday was a member of the Manns Choice Church of God. He was a self employed master carpenter. He loved Southern Gospel Music and was a sports fan that enjoyed tennis, football and baseball.
Funeral services: Friday 11:00 am at the Manns Choice of God with Pastor Aaron Whetstone officiating. Burial at Bedford County Memorial Park with military rites conducted by the Fort Bedford Honor Guard. Friends will be received on Thursday from 3-5 and 7-9 pm at the Timothy A.
