Elizabeth B. "Betty" Van Keuren, 94, of Bedford, died Saturday, June 10, 2006 at Donahoe Manor Nursing Home. She was born on December 27, 1911 in Bedford, a daughter of the late William and Amy (Gilchrist) Brice Jr.On _________ in Sudbury, Mass., she married William _ Van Keuren, and he preceded her in death on _________. She is survived by a step-daughter, Helen Koenig of Cinn, OH , a niece, Jean E. "Jill" Bailey of Bedford, 2 geat nieces, Nicole wife of Trent Edwards of Bedford, and Kristina wife of Robert Lear of Charles Town, WV. She was preceded in death by 1 daughter: Judith Voss, 1 step-daughter: Suzanna, _______2 sisters: Jean Brice Eichelberger & Wilma B. Hopper.
She was a graduate of Bedford High School, and Penn State University where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma. She worked for the American Red Cross in Philadelphia and retired to Bedford in 1974. Upon retiring, she worked for FEMA for many years, working many disasters all over the US.
Funeral Services, Tuesday, June 13, 2006, at 11:00 AM from the Chapel at Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford, with the Rev. Jeff Welsch officiating. Burial in Bedford Cemetery. Friends will be received on Tuesday 1 hout prior to the service at the Funeral Home.
