Edward B. Ford

July 15, 1931 — June 14, 2007

Edward B. “Boze” Ford 75 of Cumberland Road, Bedford, died Thursday, June 14, 2007 at his home.  He was born July 15, 1931 in Snake Spring TWP, son of the late Ira Blair and Lilly Rachel (Whitfield) Ford.  On February 22, 1957 in Bedford he married Gloria Weyant and she preceded him in death on March 3, 2000.  He is survived by the following children: Ronald Ford, Steven Ford and companion Linda Means both of Bedford, Deborah wife of Ronald Lehman of Dillsburg, Randy Ford married to the former Lisa Stiffler of Meadville, Terry Ford married to the former Teresa Cessna of Everett, Gloria Ann wife of Gary Laidig of Breezewood, eight grandchildren: Kyle and Christoper Lehman, Olivia, Hunter and Emily Ford, Sarina, Hannah and Emma Laidig, a brother William Ford married to the former Sara Grubb of Bedford and a sister Betty wife of Robert Ritchey of Bedford.  He was preceded in death by four brothers: Nelson, Walter, Frank, and Thomas Ford and two sisters: Lillian Smith and Eleanor Wolfhope.

Mr. Ford was a lifelong member of Bald Hill Lutheran Church and served on numerous committees of the church. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, he loved gardening and supplied his neighborhood with fresh vegetables.  He had an interest in all sports and especially enjoyed the local high school teams.  He retired in 1990 after 38 years with Hempt Brothers Inc. of Camp Hill.

Funeral Services: Tuesday 11:00 am in the chapel at Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford with Rev. Sarah Keilholtz and Rev. Curtis Bryant officiating.  Burial at Bedford County Memorial Park..  Friends will be received on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm and 1 hour prior to the service on Tuesday morning at the funeral home.  Those wishing may make contributions to The Bald Hill Lutheran Church, c/o CBLP, 443 S.
