E. Pearl Feather

E. Pearl Feather 90 of Pennknoll Village formerly of Imler died Monday June 19, 2000 at the home. She was born March 18, 1910 in Imler, daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Roudabush) Imler. On June 9, 1928 in Cumberland she married F. Mayne Feather and he preceded her in death on April 3, 1981. She is survived by 2 daughters: Rose wife of Dr. John Livengood and Ruth wife of C. James Williams both of Bedford, 3 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. She was preceded in death by a son Anson Feather an infant son Joseph and a brother Robert Imler.
Mrs. Feather was a member of the Mt.Zion United Church of Christ in Pavia and was first woman in Bedford County to serve as Justice of the Peace, and continued as a notary in Imler until her retirement.
Funeral Services: Thursday 11:00 AM from St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Imler with the Rev. Bruce Whaler officiating assisted by Rev. Jerry Rogers. Burial in the Imler Valley Cemetery. Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford and ½ hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday morning.
