Bedford

Dwight R. Maule 74, of Bedford, died Friday November 12, 2021 at UPMC Somerset Hospital.  He was born on October 22, 1947 in Somerset a son of the late Jonas and Helen (Carns) Blystone.  He is survived by the following family: special friend Bonnie Gardner, whom he loved very much, of Bedford; and her children: Walter Lape, Terry Risbon, and Troy Todd Risbon; a step-son James W. King, of Rockwood; a step-daughter Annessa Stahlman, and her children whom he loved dearly; four siblings: Ruth Most and husband Roger, of Berlin, Fred Maule and wife Jane, of Boswell, Nancy Shumaker and husband Wayne, of Somerset, and Harry Blystone widower of Kathy, of Rockwood; numerous nieces and nephews; and a sister-in-law Andrea Allen, of Bedford.

Dwight was a 1965 graduate of Rockwood High School, and worked for the former Somerset Foundry.  He enjoyed hunting, traveling, woodworking, and collecting model farm tractors and farm memorabilia.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 18, 2021 at 11:00 a.m., in the Chapel at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford, with Jim Miller officiating.  Burial at St. James Lutheran Cemetery.  Friends will be received on Wednesday, from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m., at the funeral home, and one hour prior to the service on Thursday.  Our online guestbook is available at www.berkebilefuneralhome.com.
