Dorothy K. Napoline

January 7, 1917 — September 11, 2006

Dorothy K. Napoline, 89, of South Richard Street Bedford, died Monday, September 11, 2006 in Snake Spring TWP.  She was born on January 7, 1917 in Wells Tannery, a daughter of the late Harry A. and Blanche L. (Dodson) Brown. On March 6, 1945 in Winchester, VA, she married William J. Napoline and he preceded her in death on April 9, 1987.  She is survived by the following family, a daughter, Dora “Bunnie”wife of Ed Growden of Bedford, 4 grandchildren:  Rick Growden of Greencastle, Anthony Growden of Bedford, Jerry Beck of Fishertown, and Laura Peterson of Williston, North Dakota, 11 great grandchildren, her twin sister and closest friend Dora widow of John Albright of Bedford, and her very special family and another sister Mary widow of Martin Dishong of Everett. A special niece Mary Ruth Stofko of East McKeesport and a great niece Denise Woy of Everett. She was preceded in death by a daughter Brenda Beck, two brothers: Chester & Joseph Brown, and two sisters Grace Bequeath & Margaret Leader.

She was a member of the Bedford United Methodist Church and Greatest Generation Era, and volunteered for RSVP.  She had worked for the Letter Kenney, and helped her husband manage Carolyn Court in Everett, she also had worked at the Fort Bedford Inn, where she resided. She enjoyed quilting and making special meals for her family.  She will be greatly missed by her many friends and family.

Funeral Services:  Thursday, September 14, 2006, at 12:00 PM from the Chapel at Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford, with the Rev. Jeff Welsch officiating.  Burial in Everett Cemetery.  Friends will be received on Wednesday from 4-7 PM, and 1 hour prior to the service on Thursday.
