Dorothy M. Dibert, 81, of Pavia Road, Imler, died Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at her residence. She was born May 23, 1929 in Pavia, daughter of the late Harry J. and Carrie (Croyle) Dibert. She is survived by a sister, Helen Griffin of Pittsburgh, five nephews; Richard and Kenneth Griffin, Gary Dibert, all of Pittsburgh, Randy Chancellor and wife Jannette of Bedford, Raymond Chancellor and wife Kimberly of Fredericksburg, VA, two nieces; Dr. Kathy Griffin and husband Steve, and Tammy Chancellor both of Pittsburgh. Also surviving are numerous great nieces and nephews and two special grandchildren Ian and Marissa Leslie of Claysburg. She was preceded in death by two sisters; Ruth Anna Chancellor and Sarah Esther Dibert.
Dorothy was a graduate of Bedford High School class of 1947, and also Cambria Rose Business School in Johnstown. She retired in 1984 from the former Claysburg National Bank as a teller. She was a member of the Reformed Church of Christ in Pavia.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 7, 2010, at 2:30 p.m. from the Reformed Church of Christ in Pavia with Brad Allison officiating. Burial in the Church Cemetery. Friends will be received on Friday evening from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford, and one hour prior to the service on Saturday afternoon at the Church.
