Dorothy M. (Davis) Stiffler

Dorothy M. Stiffler 88, of Imler, died Tuesday, January 3, 2017. She was born on October 6, 1928, in Weyant, a daughter of the late Charles and Elsie (Harbaugh) Davis. On October 6, 1965 in Cumberland, MD, she married Thomas J. Stiffler, who survives along with the following family: a daughter, Toni Burkholder wife of Carl, of Bedford, a daughter Debbie Weist wife of Larry, of Roaring Spring, a son Rick Stiffler, of Weyant, and a daughter, Michele Stiffler, of Weyant; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two brothers: Dale Davis of Weyant, and Ronnie Davis and wife Linda, of York. She was preceded in death by four sisters: Josephine Feil, Janet Manges, Kathleen Finnegan, and Anna Belle Davis; and three brothers: Warren, Norman, and Marvin Davis.
Dorothy was a member of the Jehovah’s Witness Church in Bedford. She graduated from Bedford High School in 1947. She then attended Altoona Beauty School and received a degree in cosmetology, and her teaching license. Dorothy enjoyed reading and sewing.
